A Mother’s Journey

Synopsis

This book is a collection of some of the everyday occurrences I experience with my son Marc, who was diagnosed with Mild Autism Syndrome Disorder at the age of 2 ½. It describes different moments in his life and how God used them to reveal His love for me which allowed me to strengthen in faith. It is a book that allows loved one’s and caregivers of children with Autism to recognize the gift that God has entrusted us with. It is designed to encourage, uplift, and enlighten anyone who has come in contact with a person who has Autism. It describes the journey that God has taken me through as a mother of a child with Autism to embrace my child as a person not a condition. It describes the journey that I am still on in which God allows me to see His word, understand His word, and trust His word by witnessing and sharing in the life of Marc. It is a book that will take you on this journey with me in realizing that God made children with special needs in His perfect image and trusted each of us to handle such a special gift. They are our gift, we are not their gift. It is a book about the change of a mother’s perception of Autism Syndrome Disorder as a curse to the realization that it is truly a blessing.
